Itinerary Details

Day 01: Arrival Jammu – Transfer to Katra

On arrival at Jammu airport or railway station, you will be transferred to Katra (distance: approx. 50 km / 1.5–2 hours drive). Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at a hotel in Katra.

Day 02: Mata Vaishnodevi Darshan

After an early breakfast, proceed to Banganga, the base point for the Vaishnodevi Yatra. Begin the trek to the holy shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi (approx. 12 km one way, 6–8 hours round trip depending on pace). After darshan, continue to Bhairon Nath Temple (additional 1.5 km trek) and then return back to Katra. Overnight stay at a hotel in Katra.
Total Trek Time: 7–9 hours (moderate difficulty)

Day 03: Katra – Shivkhori – Katra

After breakfast, drive to Shivkhori (approx. 80 km / 2.5–3 hours one way). En route, visit the Nau Devi Temple and Baba Aghar Jitto Temple. On reaching Shivkhori, trek 3.5 km (one way) to the sacred cave shrine of Lord Shiva, and return. Drive back to Katra by evening.
Total Drive Time: 5–6 hours round trip
Trek Time: 2–3 hours (easy to moderate)
Overnight stay in Katra.

Day 04: Katra – Patnitop

After breakfast, drive to the beautiful hill station of Patnitop (approx. 85 km / 2.5–3 hours), with a short halt at Kud for local sweets and tea. In Patnitop, visit the Nag Temple, take a walk along Circular Road, relax at the Children’s Garden, and head to Nathatop (by drive or short hike if desired).
Overnight stay at a hotel in Patnitop.

Day 05: Patnitop – Departure from Jammu

After breakfast, check out and drive to Jammu for your drop-off at the airport or railway station, as per your departure schedule.
