Itinerary Details

Day 01: Arrive Gwalior – Local Sightseeing

On arrival at Gwalior Airport or Railway Station, you will be received and transferred to the hotel. After check-in and a short break, proceed to visit the majestic Gwalior Fort, known for its architectural brilliance and historical significance. Later, explore the royal Jai Vilas Palace Museum with a professional guide to understand the grandeur of the Scindia dynasty. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gwalior.

Day 02: Gwalior – Morena Excursion – Gwalior (80 kms / 2 hrs one way)

After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Morena, renowned for its ancient temple architecture. Visit the remarkable Mitawali Temple (Chausath Yogini), Padawali Temple, and the beautifully restored group of temples at Bateshwar, often referred to as the “mini-Khajuraho”. After sightseeing, return to Gwalior. Overnight stay in Gwalior.

Day 03: Gwalior – Datia – Jhansi – Orchha (130 kms / 4 hrs)

This morning, check out and drive towards Orchha. En route, visit the imposing Datia Palace, a 7-storeyed architectural marvel built by Raja Bir Singh Deo. Further, stop at Jhansi to explore the historic Jhansi Fort, associated with Rani Lakshmi Bai’s valiant legacy. Continue to Orchha and check in to the hotel. Relax and overnight stay in Orchha.

Day 04: Orchha Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for a guided sightseeing tour of Orchha Fort Complex. Day 07: Khajuraho – Departure
