Itinerary Details

Day 1: Haridwar to Chopta (220 km / 7–8 hours)

Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Haridwar to Chopta, often referred to as the “Mini Switzerland” of Uttarakhand. En route, enjoy views of lush forests, river valleys, and the majestic Himalayan backdrop. On arrival at Chopta, relax and acclimatize to the altitude.

Overnight stay in camps or guesthouse at Chopta.

Day 2: Trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila (6 km round trek / 5–6 hours)

After an early breakfast, start your trek to Tungnath Temple—the highest Shiva temple in the world, located at an altitude of 3,680 m. If time and weather permit, you can continue further to Chandrashila Peak for breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba.

Return to Chopta for overnight stay.

Day 3: Chopta to Sagar – Trek to Panar Bugyal (20 km drive + 12 km trek / 7–8 hours)

Today, drive from Chopta to Sagar village, the starting point of your Rudranath trek. From Sagar, begin your ascent through thick forests and scenic mountain trails to reach the beautiful alpine meadows of Panar Bugyal. The trail offers serenity and stunning views of nature.

Overnight stay in tents at Panar Bugyal.

Day 4: Panar Bugyal to Rudranath Temple and back (14 km trek / 9–10 hours)

Embark on a spiritual journey today as you trek to Rudranath Temple, one of the Panch Kedar shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, set amidst rhododendron forests and majestic mountain landscapes. After darshan and some peaceful time at the temple, return back to Panar Bugyal for the night.

Overnight stay in tents.

Day 5: Panar Bugyal to Sagar (12 km trek / 6–7 hours)

After breakfast, begin your descent from Panar Bugyal to Sagar village through the same scenic trail. Enjoy the last leg of this peaceful trek with time to rest upon arrival.

Overnight stay at Sagar or nearby area.

Day 6: Sagar to Haridwar (250 km drive / 8–9 hours)

After an early breakfast, drive back from Sagar to Haridwar. The tour concludes with memories of spiritual energy, scenic trekking routes, and breathtaking Himalayan views.
